Mike and Ron share hair tips after a Ron Jeremy Comedy and Wet T-shirt extravaganza in Calgary.

In the Summer of 1998, Air Canada had a pilot strike. In order to win its lost customers back, they announced a seat sale that allowed Mike and a friend to fly to San Diego for $79 canadian each. He enjoyed a pleasant stay at Freakmagnet's house (remember? our official photographer?) and had a chance to enjoy LA despite the absence of the other band mates (whom he missed a lot).
After watching a taping of Politically incorrect, and a fine Argentinian meal on Melrose Avenue, Mike and the unidentified friend ran into Jay Leno, who was courteous enough to answer a few questions.

Earlier that day Mike stood in line with the Kiss Army who were awaiting the official release of Kiss Psycho Circus at Mann's Chinese Theater on Hollywood Blvd. Not content to stand in a line-up for anybody, Mike went to the CBS studio to end up in line for Politically incorrect.
We recently discovered this photo from 1995 when we met Blue Rodeo, after watching them play in a small club in St. Louis. We had just raced across town from our own gig, and had nearly driven over a dead guy on the freeway. Blue Rodeo were sympathetic to our pain, and invited us to relax on their tourbus with them.
"Animal's pretty down to earth normally", we were told, "but now that he's the mascot for the Olympic Snowboarding Team he's started to carry around his 8*10 glossies and his marking pen."
In November 1997 KJ met Joan Jett before her show at Cowboys. Mike tried to get backstage too, but he was refused entry despite repeated pleas of " But.. But..I'm in Chixdiggit!" KJ played it cool and will never wash his right armpit again.
Joan Jett rocked enormously.
This is Elsie the Cow, the poster cow of the Borden Dairy Corporation, a division of Hughes Aerospace, builders of one of the "smart missiles" of the Desert Storm.
This is the Heissman trophy for outstanding achievement and attendance in Football. KJ has never won it, but OJ Simpson has.
This is Ivana Trump. She asked KJ what he was doing there, and then told him he should get a job. (that was right after this photo. The two said goodbye with much less enthusiasm.)
Of Course, Regis Philbin was much more cordial. On hand to promote a bagel company, Regis had no qualms about the child labour that's involved in the recording and production of the new Chixdiggit record. Regis was impressed by KJ's natural smile, and plans are made for a Chixdiggit appearance on Live! Just keep watching everyday.
Jimmy Dean, famed Sausage King of Chicago, was looking a little weathered that day. KJ on the other hand radiates that healthy Canadian Post Winter Glow.
